This is an approximate size, as these tools are hand made.
The finished handle of this gonger is made from the slow-growing hardwood tree beech to give the handle sturdy grain structures and durability comparable to oak or hickory. We also use layered grey wool felt for its light weight and less percussive sound when striking the bowl. The mallet head is firm yet forgiving inviting a balanced variety of sound. The grip and balance of this tool allows full control of the volume you are trying to achieve with both gongs and Himalayan singing bowls.
This giant gonger has enough weight and felt size to bring out deep low tones from the biggest of Himalayan singing bowls. This gonger is mostly ideal for grounding bowls, or any singing bowl that is 14” or greater. This gonger works amazing for massive gongs, and has the necessary weight to bring them to maximum volume.
